Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking

The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking will be developing a new training curriculum on how providers, specifically those working in the emergency room, can appropriately identify and refer victims of human trafficking. The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking training will formalize protocols and institute a system-wide anti-trafficking training to Denver Health leadership and staff. Denver Health primarily services low-income populations most vulnerable to human trafficking crimes. Additionally, the program will provide a survivor-informed template for broader institutionalization across the health care sector in Colorado.
