COPIC Education

Valuable knowledge and trusted guidance

that supports better medicine

Education Overview

COPIC understands the importance of ongoing education as we continue to invest in resources and opportunities that provide medical professionals with valuable knowledge. In addition to a growing selection of on-demand courses, we offer over 350 in-person seminars each year that are attended by more than 10,000 health care professionals. These educational activities draw upon COPIC’s expertise and the experience of our Patient Safety and Risk Management team to improve outcomes and enhance patient care. It's a proactive, preventative approach to support insureds and keep them informed of trends and topics that impact medicine.

CME Accreditation

COPIC received the highest level of accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), highlighting our ongoing investment as a partner in education. As of March 2016, COPIC was resurveyed by the ACCME and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of CME for physicians.

  • COPIC is one of a few medical professional liability carriers to receive “Accreditation with Commendation,” and this status places us among the ranks of several professional societies, certain state medical societies, and recognized medical schools.

COPIC Points Program

This program is designed to encourage physician involvement in courses, seminars and programs by offering an associated premium discount based on participation. Throughout the year, COPIC insureds can earn “points” in a variety of ways while educating themselves on key areas such as effective communication, patient safety, and clinical and legal risk management.
