Patient Safety Awareness Week – March 8th-March 14th

Feb 18, 2020

Patient Safety Awareness Week is designed to mark a dedicated time and platform to increase awareness about patient safety among health care professionals and the public. This year, Patient Safety Week is March 8-14. The week will bring together and engage health care professionals and patients to help spread this important message; to reduce harm to patients and the organizations united in this mission while providing the opportunity for discussions, events, and engagement by those dedicated to the cause.

Patient Safety Awareness Week is led by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Each year, health care organizations around the country take part by prominently displaying promotional materials within their organizations, creating awareness in the community, and utilizing IHI educational resources among hospital staff and patients.

There are a number of ways to get involved in Patient Safety Awareness Week. Visit the United for Patient Safety website for more information on ways to get involved as well as access to 2020 Patient Safety Awareness Week resources and promotional materials.
